ACTION
Viscoelastic polyacrylamide
gel that acts
as a framework
for the deposition
of collagen, elastin,
glycosaminoglycans
and fibronectin,
and provides a
semi-permanent
filler which will
last for up to
2 years. The gel
is slowly broken
down by the body's
enzymes and removed
completely by
the liver.
As the gel stabilizes
in the skin there
is a reduction
of approximately
30% of the volume.
This reduces the
risk of over-correction.
A second treatment
may be required
at about 4 weeks.

PROCEDURE
Performed in the
clinic. Well tolerated
but local anaesthetic
cream or injection
can be used to
reduce the pain
of the injections,
especially in
lips.
POST-TREATMENT
Keep area clean
and dry for 24
hours.
Do not touch,
rub or massage
area.
Keep pets away
from face for
first day.
Avoid sun exposure
and sunbeds for
24 hours.
No alcohol for
24 hours
